Hawthorne Lofts – Portland, OR (Multnomah County)
Hawthorne Lofts is a new, 27-unit live/work multifamily project located in the Hawthorne District of Portland, Oregon. Pathfinder acquired the loan, secured by a first deed of trust, from a regional bank in October, 2010 and concluded foreclosure in November.
The four-story, steel frame building is attractively appointed with a combination of wood composite, fiber cement and corrugated metal surfacing that is accented by full wall windows. The project includes 22 one-bedroom/one-bath flats ranging from 788 to 1,116 square feet and five townhome units ranging from 1,305 to 1,497 square feet. The unit interiors feature Brazilian redwood flooring, stainless steel appliances, gas fireplaces, painted millwork, full-size washers/dryers and 10-foot ceilings. We plan to operate the project, which is more than 90% leased, as a rental community for the near future.
